Case Studies - Adapted Bathroom • West Sussex

Mrs Kidby of West Sussex contacted Platinum Park Home Services after hearing of the professional work we had completed for others on the same Park Home site.

Her sons had concerns for their mother’s on-going safety due to her needing to step over the side of the bath to use the shower.

Being Park Home Bathroom Refurbishment Specialists, we worked closely with Mrs Kidby to design a new Bathroom to maximise the available space with consideration to functionality, adaptability, safety and comfort for her future.

Adapting a Bathroom to include a low threshold walk-in shower was a priority and can be a significant safety improvement for anyone, particularly those with mobility concerns. We included accessible storage at a height that can be reached comfortably to avoid overreaching and the walls had a smooth, high-quality finish that are easy to clean and maintain. Additional lighting was positioned to make the space brighter and an automatic extractor fan was installed to help keep the new bathroom fresh and damp free.

Mrs Kidby was so pleased with her new Adapted Bathroom that she was kind enough to share a few words after the installation was completed.

Everyone at Platinum Park Home Services was a pleasure to deal with.

Tawney was my direct contact and kept me updated every step of the way. She was always on hand to answer any questions I had.

My installer was Anthony. He was very friendly and his craftsmanship has given me a wonderful new bathroom that I am so happy with.

I feel so much safer using my new Bathroom as everything is now at a comfortable height and in the right place. I don’t have to hold on to the sink or climb over the side of the bath anymore to use the shower.

I have had visits from my neighbours wanting to see it and everyone seems so impressed with how it now looks. I would highly recommend Platinum Park Home Services and will be looking forward to working with them again.
